Natural pools up in the valley, the Rock Pools are a touristic and very popular spot for a swim in fresh water, apparently just super busy during summer time. At the end of Currumbin Creek Road, Springbrook National Park Mt Coogal Section offers a beautiful bush walk with few cascades on the way. For thousands of years, aboriginal people used to live in this land, which has been turned into a banana growing area for about 30 years. Owned by an australian family until 1983, the land has been offered as an addition to the national park, despite the greedy real estates and developers.

Pendant des milliers d’années, le peuple aborigène habitait cette terre, qui a été transformée en plantation de bananes pour une trentaine d’années. Propriété d’une famille australienne jusqu’en 1983, cette terre a été offerte en addition au parc national, malgré de gourmands agents immobiliers et promoteurs.
